To ensure the enjoyment and health of all our guests, Sweet Necessity maintains a strict non-smoking policy. This includes all forms of smoking, both inside and outside the property. We kindly ask you to discuss these guidelines with your party in advance.
For your convenience, an elevator is provided for effortless move-in and move-out. Please note, due to its delicate nature, the elevator's operation can be unpredictable, and we recommend limited use to avoid any disruptions during your stay.

The remaining amount is to be paid 150 day(s) before arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Once Renter(s) deposit is received, all other prospective renters are blocked from renting the Rental for the dates reserved, therefore, if Renter(s) cancel the reservation at any time, the deposit is not refundable. The full balance of the rent is due one hundred fifty (150) days from the check-in. A one hundred fifty (150) day notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations that occur within one hundred fifty (150) days of the check-in date will forfeit the full payment and security/damage deposit. Every effort will be made to re-rent the house after a cancellation. If house is re-rented for the same time period, and the same rent amount, the full rent less a $100 administrative fee, will be refunded. If the unit is rented for a lesser amount, the difference between the two rental amounts, plus the $100 administrative fee will be the refunded amount. The minimum cancellation fee is the deposit and the $100 administrative fee. If you have any concerns about unforeseen cancellations, you may want to consider private Trip Insurance, with a private carrier. There are many companies that provide this type of insurance and Management does not endorse any one company. Failure to make scheduled payment one hundred fifty (150) days from check-in will be considered a cancellation.
Security deposit
A fully-refundable security deposit of $1000.00 is due at time of booking. If booking is made within 150 days of check in a fully-refundable security deposit of $1000.00 is due in addition to the full rental fee.

A mid-stay clean is required for guests staying more than 25 nights
Rates do not include 12% Florida tax
The $1000 reservation deposit turns into a refundable damage deposit once the rental fee is paid in full 150 days from check-in
Dogs are welcome at Good Fortune for a fee of $160+12% Florida tax for each dog
The rate to heat the pool is $375 +12% Florida tax per week
Cancellation Policy - Once the reservation deposit is received, it is not refundable unless the week is rebooked. The full rental amount is due one hundred fifty (150) days from the check-in date. If there are local, state, or federal laws that prevent travel due to COVID 19 a full refund will be made regardless of whether the week is rebooked.

Our favorite home away from home!
We have stayed at Sweet Necessity and Good Fortune multiple times and we can't wait to go again! The Cape has become our favorite place to vacation and we love that we can take our entire family - including our dogs! It's hard to find a place that is so accommodating with your furry family members, but Carrie has been wonderful since the first time we stayed at Sweet Necessity and every stay in between. The view is unmatched, the amenities are just what you need. The elevator is extremely convenient. Carrie is a great communicator and is always concerned about our stay and making sure we have everything we need. We have had very few issues throughout the years and any thing that has come up has been addressed by Carrie. Can't recommend her enough as a host!

Great place to stay!
We had an amazing vacation on Cape San Blas. Carrie opened up her beautiful home to my family last week. She is so caring and wonderful to work with. The house is everything the photos show. There is a large stocked kitchen with a table large enough for your entire family. Our grandchildren had a blast at the beach and loved the private pool. The house had beach towels and beach chairs available at the house.

Family with pets
This was the 2nd time we have stayed at Sweet Necessity. My family loves it there. No issues with the home except for the kitchen sink was hard to turn off from dripping, but that was no big deal.
Hi Cindy, Thank you for choosing to stay at Sweet Necessity again. Yes, there is a sweet spot where the faucet handle needs to be precisely placed for it to fully turn off. We had a plumber look at it the week before your arrival, and he had to order parts for the repair. We are waiting for the parts to arrive and will get that drip to stopped as soon as we can. Carrie
Spring Break in Style

We have stayed here multiple times, and it is exactly as listed! Beautiful, spacious, inviting, super clean and has everything you could imagine! The location is perfect! The ocean view is stunning! The pool is wonderful! The home is beautifully decorated! We love the added bonus of beach chairs and beach towels for the guests to use. Hands down, the very best home we’ve stayed at, on the Cape. Carrie makes sure your stay is top notch, and checks in to make certain your needs are met. Our favorite part of vacation is traveling and sharing our beach week with our Golden Retriever fur babies! Fall vacation
Sweet Necessity is a large, beautiful and well maintained home. There were 10 adults in our group and we had more than enough room. The house had every utensil and appliance you could need in the kitchen., The beach chairs and games provided were in excellent condition. This is our 5th time to the Cape and by far the nicest house and most responsive and easy rental company. Thank you Caroline! We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon.

Another Perfect Stay
We have stayed at Sweet Necessity for the past 3 years and will be returning to one of Cape San Blas Get Away homes in 2025. This house is perfect for our family and pets. The home is stocked with everything you could possibly need from kitchen supplies, beach towels, dog towels and beach chairs. We love the pool with the tanning ledge and my granddaughter enjoys the shallow end. Carrie is a super star and always checks in to make sure all is ok upon check-in and her crew is amazing should any issue arise. The beach is so beautiful in this area. Can't wait to return next year!

Perfect house for large group!
This house was even better than the pictures make it look! My husband and I , along with his sister and our brother-in-law brought our four adult kids and their significant others (and one toddler) for the week to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The layout of this gorgeous house provided comfortable space for all 13 of us for a fun-filled week of making great family memories! Days were spent at the beautiful beach and the pool, resting in the shade on the porches with amazing views, taking turns cooking meals in the INCREDIBLY well-stocked kitchen, and playing games around the huge table that fit all of us! We truly could not have asked for anything more. Carrie is the most helpful and responsive person we've ever rented from. Her thoughtfulness shows in everything in this house and I can't recommend Sweet Necessity enough. Thanks for providing such a wonderful space for us to enjoy our week!

AMAZING Week at Sweet Necessity
This was the second year for our whole family at Sweet Necessity — my wife and I, plus our two daughters and their families. A total of 6 adults and 6 young children. Sweet Necessity is a great house for a large group like ours! Not only is it a large house but the setup is great. Professionally decorated and every bedroom is very nice. Kitchen has everything you need to cook up nice meals. Two refrigerators. Two dishwashers. A large table that easily accommodated our group of 12 for meals. And all the beach setups you will need for the week -- chairs, umbrellas, kids sand toys. Carrie has thought of everything. Our family would highly recommend this special property. It is even nicer than the pictures indicate. It was a super week making another year of family memories!

Roomy Relaxation is a Sweet Necessity
This marked our fourth year of enjoying family vacations after years of my wife prompting me to make it happen. Each year I look for different rental properties that will accommodate 12, plus a little extra room. Sweet Necessity filled all our needs and more! This home is so beautiful and spacious, the grands loved the pool and of course the beach which was never crowded. I would highly recommend this unique property, it far exceeded what we expected. The pictures didn't do it justice. We enjoyed a terrific week and we'll treasure another year of family memories!
